When Roses cease to bloom, Sir by Emily Dickinson
When Roses cease to bloom, Sir,
And Violets are done --
When Bumblebees in solemn flight
Have passed beyond the Sun --
The hand that paused to gather
Upon this Summer's day
Will idle lie -- in Auburn --
Then take my flowers -- pray
What does it give you?
The poem is....
1. Relaxing
2. It sets a happy atmosphere
3. It is easy and short to listen too
The speaker in this poem appears to be telling a person of interest that she is in love with him and wants him to take the gift of affection that she is offering. The poem was by Emily Dickinson, the target audience is for any ages that enjoy love poetry. The poem means that she wants a man to be given her love (a gift) before she passes away.
